We aim to Occupy a critical niche in the diamond pipeline, sourcing diamonds upstream from the producers, then grading them into hundreds of specific categories to meet the needs of the company’s downstream partners, diamond toolmakers who process the diamonds into tools used by their downstream partners, manufacturers not limiting ourselves to gem quality only but expand to Industrial diamonds as well which is another untapped diamond market.

Kwame Diamonds was Founded in 2010 we are proudly South African women owned company, Fully BBEEE compliant licenced to operate in trading rough, manufacturing and jewellery design. We have been manufacturing under a sightholder for the past 5years

Kwame Diamonds is part of the DeBeers Special Development Beneficiation Project aimed at achieving five new South African sight holders by 2021. Kwame Diamonds has been afforded the opportunity to procure rough goods from DeBeers as part of the developmental program. This enables Kwame to commit to consistent supply of polished stones and guaranteeing a secure pipeline safe from synthetic s and polished that automatically qualify for Forevermark certification.

Members Profile

Mosibudi has a Stock Broking and Investment Banking background and through forming Kwame Diamonds acquired a trading license, specifically for the purchase of rough and polished gem quality diamonds. She qualified as a diamond sorter and valuator in 2006 through Henry Oppenheimer Diamond College, and has ambitions of enrolling for a GIA grading course for polished diamonds. Mosibudi was instrumental in the setting up of Uxolo DCW which she is currently heading as a General Manager overseeing daily operations of the factory employing 50 young students recruited from diamond Colleges and 11 expatriates from India. Uxolo DCW is a subsidiary of Shrenuj SA, which is wholly owned by Shrenuj &Co a listed diamond and jewellery company in Mumbai and has 105 years of experience in the industry. Being a strategic partner of Uxolo has equipped and empowered her in being able to establish cutting and polish business within Uxolo DCW factory. This in essence has propelled Kwame Diamonds from being a Diamond Dealer based business to the beneficiation space. Kwame has subsequently benefitted from the alliance and mentorship by Uxolo. Through her leadership as the first black female managed diamond factory in South Africa Uxolo has achieved Sightholder status in South Africa.

Khomotso Ramodipa is an established optometrist by profession and a qualified sorter and valuator. She is currently a dealer in rough and polished diamonds and co-ordinates overseas buyers that attend diamond tenders in South Africa on a monthly basis and has a good network of buyers, of polished gem and industrial diamonds. Lemogang Pitsoe is employed as an advisor and strategic partner, a qualified mining engineer, started his career with De beers Consolidated mines, Koffiefontein, Kimberly, Lime Acres and was instrumental in the setting up of Venetia mine before heading to Head office as group consultant servicing international clients. He then proceeded to join Anglo Platinum as a business unit manager in Rusternburg. Continued his career path with Af-gem as a Chief Operation Officer responsible for S.A and Tanzania operations primarily mining Diamonds and Tanzanite, the company is currently listed in London Stock Exchange. Joined Coal of Africa as operations Director looking after exploration, production and marketing for all coal products.He later successfully setup a mining division for Hernic Ferrochrome Mining to supply the smelting operations with chrome ore. He has a wealth of experience across different minerals and commodity dealing, and a structured deal maker.
